Daniel I. Konieczny concentrates his practice in the areas of complex business litigation, appellate litigation, and intellectual property litigation.  He graduated with a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2001, and he graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University in 1998 with an A.B. in physics and certificates in applied mathematics and public policy. He is a member of the patent bar and is admitted to practice in Illinois state court and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Northern District of Indiana.

Konieczny has handled cases involving public and private contracts, breaches of fiduciary duties, patent and copyright infringement, accounting and other professional malpractice, employment agreements and restrictive covenants, employment discrimination, ERISA, whistleblower claims, trust and estate disputes, and regulatory takings.  His recent accomplishments include obtaining a favorable opinion from the Illinois Supreme Court in a dispute over cable modem franchise fees and enforcing a non-competition agreement against a client’s former employee who sought to start a competing business.

Konieczny is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.  He lives in Chicago with his wife and two sons.
