Mili Smith has represented clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation, including breach of contract cases, defamation lawsuits, product liability lawsuits, tax litigation, and intellectual property disputes. She has experience in all phases of litigation practice, including pre-trial strategy, discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial. At the appellate level, Ms. Smith has assisted in appeals in federal and state court.
Before joining Tabet DiVito & Rothstein LLC in October 2010, Ms. Smith was a litigation associate at Bryan Cave LLP. She graduated cum laude from the Boston University School of Law in 2007, where she served as a symposium editor on the Boston University International Law Journal. She also served as a law clerk for the United States Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review. Ms. Smith received her B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003.
Ms. Smith is the Co-Chair of the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Ms. Smith is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Missouri, as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri.
Ms. Smith is fluent in Malayalam and professionally competent in Arabic.
